Hand a route to your driver in one scan

Routes brings Delivery Driver HQ together with Routeonic, the route-planning app for delivery drivers. Build the day's route on your dashboard, show the driver a QR code, and follow their progress without a single phone call.

Route codes are live on Delivery Driver HQ today. Scanning them arrives in Routeonic's next App Store update - until then the code page shows the code and the App Store link.

How it works

  1. 1. Paste the stops - Copy the addresses from wherever they arrive - a spreadsheet, an email, a WhatsApp message - and paste the list into a new route. One address per line is all it takes.
  2. 2. Assign and show the code - Pick a driver from your roster and set an optional finish-by time. The route gets a QR code and an eight-character code you can show on screen or share as a link.
  3. 3. The driver opens it in Routeonic - They scan the QR or type the code in Routeonic. The stops land on their map, Routeonic orders them, and they drive the route the way they already do.

What you see

A day view of every route: who is on it, how far through they are, and whether they are ahead of or behind the finish-by time.

  • Stops done out of total, and parcels delivered
  • Started, last stop and finished times
  • Average stops per hour and an ahead/behind chip
  • Reassign a route or regenerate a code in one click

What the driver gets

Their own route-planning app, not a manager's dashboard squeezed onto a phone. Routeonic has a free trial on the App Store and needs no Delivery Driver HQ account.

  • Stops geocoded and put into a sensible driving order
  • Turn-by-turn through the maps app they already use
  • The same app whether they drive for you or anyone else

Counts and times, not tracking

Progress is reported as counts and timestamps. We never send a driver's location to the dashboard, and the code page shows a business name and a code - never the stops.

  • No live location, no breadcrumb trail
  • Codes expire and can be revoked at any time
  • Routes for past days are read-only

Pricing

Routes is part of the Driver Management Suite, included on every paid plan - Starter from £49.99/month. No per-driver fees. Routeonic has a free trial for drivers.

Frequently asked questions

Which plans include Routes?

Every paid plan - Starter, Standard, Enterprise and Custom - as part of the Driver Management Suite. The Free tier can post a job but doesn't include the suite.

Does the driver need a Delivery Driver HQ account?

No. The driver only needs Routeonic, which has a free trial on the App Store. The code is the whole handshake - there's nothing to link and no password to share.

When can drivers scan the code?

Route codes and the code page are live now. Scanning and typing codes into Routeonic arrives in the app's next App Store update. We'll flip this page the day it lands.

Do you plan or optimise the route?

Not on the dashboard - Delivery Driver HQ holds the list of stops. Routeonic does the geocoding and ordering on the driver's phone, which is where it belongs.

Can I see where the driver is?

No, by design. You see stops done, parcels delivered, timings and a stops-per-hour figure. Drivers are more likely to use a tool that doesn't track them.

What if the driver isn't in front of me?

Share the route link. It opens a page showing the code and a button that opens Routeonic - or the App Store if they haven't got it yet.
